We are conducting research aimed at developing innovative molecular transformation reactions and new functional materials. Our work focuses on the discovery of new reactions and reagents based on organometallic chemistry, the development of efficient synthesis methods for organometallic compounds containing silicon, boron, and other metal elements with high ‘carbon affinity,’ and the precise synthesis of organic polymers with highly controlled three-dimensional structures.

We are developing new functional materials by assembling and organizing a variety of functional moieties, such as catalysts, chiral inducers, reversible cross-linkers, hydrogen bonds, and coordination bonds, onto nano-sized helical rod-shaped molecules.
